“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

Lisa’s conversion story of coming out of the Prosperity Gospel movement and home to the Catholic Church

Raised from her childhood in the Prosperity Gospel movement, Lisa lived most of her life doing what she had always been taught to do. Giving tithes and offerings, memorizing scripture, and making declarations over her circumstances to affect change, she strove to use her faith in every area of life—until everything turned to dust. After years of believing that her prayers and declarations were falling on salted fields, Lisa saw her faith wither into little more than questions with no answers. Like many caught up in the Prosperity Gospel, she felt like a failure in her faith and eventually grew to doubt God’s love for her. Turning to the Catholic faith of her grandmother, she discovered the one true Church, where she found healing and genuine transformation through the intercession of the Blessed Mother and the graces of the Sacraments. Hers is a fascinating and touching story of the inner workings and seduction of Prosperity Gospel, of the powerful intercession of our Blessed Mother, and of God’s unfailing mercy and His utmost desire to see His children come home.

An Insider’s Look at the Theological Errors of the Prosperity Gospel Movement (and why Catholics should care)

What most people know of Prosperity Gospel is little more than television preachers making emotional pleas for money, and poor souls falling for it. The Prosperity Gospel movement has indeed preyed on the weak, but in this talk, audiences discover that faith theology runs far deeper than imagined. For many Catholics, the Prosperity Gospel spectacle has always been a problem for “them,” not for us. The truth is that this movement has a much broader span than anyone suspects, reaching even into the lives of faithful Catholics. In this talk audiences will see more clearly the wide deception of faith theology, why it is so seductive, and why Catholics and their children are often particularly targeted by non-denominational, faith theology churches in an effort to lead them away from their Catholic home. Audiences gain knowledge of the basic theological errors of faith theology and leave equipped with the tools they need to safeguard their own hearts against this deception.

Learning how to Fight to Win Against the Enemy of our Holiness

As children born into the scars of original sin, we naturally look back at Adam and Eve with doubt and scorn. How could they have been so foolish and given up so much? This insightful and inspirational talk on the Universal Call to Holiness takes listeners back to the Garden of Eden where they discover that the tactics of the serpent are the same in our lives today. We see how our struggles are not so different from our first parents’ and that we still contend with that common enemy who seeks to deceive us away from the protection and care of the Father who loves us and from our Mother, the Church, established to nurture us and lead us to heaven. Through this talk, audiences gain a practical game plan for fighting their enemy and find encouragement to embrace the only call that truly satisfies the longing of the heart.

Finding Love in the Hookup Culture

In this age where meaningful relationships are replaced with casual sex, it’s tempting to be discouraged—to abandon all hope of ever living in a true and abiding love. But finding our way back to love isn’t as hard as we may imagine. In this unique and engaging talk, Lisa walks audiences through today’s dating scene, taking an eyes-wide-open approach to uncovering the surprising roots and influences of our hypersexualized culture. “Finding Love in the Hookup Culture” leaves attendees with a deeper understanding of the intrinsic needs both men and women bring to a relationship. It inspires them to discover the courage and confidence required to find the love they seek, and it delivers a concrete blueprint they need for engaging the culture and honoring each other. Drawing from scientific and psychological data, Lisa brings a deeper perspective on Humanae Vitae and Theology of the Body, one that resonates with those who feel lost at sea in this age where people are defined by their sexuality.

AUDIENCE: OPEN TO MEN AND WOMEN. Due to the mature subject matter and the inclusion of audiovisual material that can be unsettling to a younger audience, it is highly recommended that no one under the age of sixteen attend.

Uncovering the Deception Behind Experiential Worship
and the “Gold Dust Revival”

In an age where we are taught to turn to our emotions as indicators of truth, many Catholics are heeding the non-denominational call to a “personal relationship with Jesus.” More often than not, that relationship is based on experiential worship. Seeker-friendly churches laud themselves as an oasis of life in the midst of dead religion, and Catholics in particular are targeted. More Catholic young people and their families are abandoning the truth of the Magisterium, the beauty of the liturgy, and the grace of the Sacraments for the sake of a church experience where they can “feel” and sometimes see what they believe is the presence of God. In this talk, Lisa takes listeners right to the surprisingly dark roots of this worship experience, exposing its tie to Eastern Religions and the occult and its various manifestations. Included in this talk is an examination of the forces behind the so-called Gold Dust Revival and its leaders like Todd Bentley, Bill Johnson, and Rick Joyner.
